With the opening up of Cambodia to foreign toursist, the SihanoukVille Port has become a regular destination for cruise ships in South-East Asia. The town of SihanoukVille offers beaches, casinos, markets, wats (just like at Angkor Wat only a little newer and smaller), and a taste of Cambodian life.
Cruise tours typically stop at Wat Kraom (the Buddhist Temple complex), the Central Market, and The Golden Lions Circle area. You can also get tours to Kbal Chay waterfalls, and Ream National Park around Ream Mountain and Ream Marine Sanctuary.
Cruise ships stop in the morning, and like to leave by 5 or 6pm. About 45 port calls are scheduled for 2013.
