United States Navy 7th Fleet Band in SihanoukVille, Cambodia
The United States Seventh Fleet Commander Vice Admiral Scott Swift along with the USS Blue Ridge, a Command Ship of the U.S. Navy is making it's first visit to Sihanoukville, Cambodia, April and May 2012.
The officers and crew are enjoying Sunny SihanoukVille's beaches and islands.
Of course, they will also be discussing Cambodia's involvement in this year’s Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) exercise, coastal security, exploration and rescue, first aid and expanding military relations between the U.S. and Cambodia..
In 2010 & 2011 The USS Blue Ridge earned the Captain Edward F. Ney Award for best food service for large deck ships in the fleet, and we hope to help them continue the tradition into 2012 by adding Khmer (Cambodian) cuisine to the ship's menu.
Even Cmdr. Michael Misiewicz, also known as Captain Cambodia, returned with the ship. A native born Cambodian, he was last here in 2010 commanding the USS Mustin. Welcome Back!
And welcome back to The Orient Express 7th Fleet Navy Band. They put on a great show on Ocheteaul Beach in SihanoukVille
We hope you all enjoy your stay, and Thanks for all your help too!
